Founder
David Owen, the founder of Modulayr, brings over 40 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance, working with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
His career has been focused on diagnosing failures, improving system reliability, and creating solutions where standard designs fall short. From troubleshooting complex issues to building more effective systems, his work has always centered around control, safety, and long-term performance.
That experience became the foundation for Modulayr — applying industrial-level thinking to custom vehicle systems where reliability and control matter just as much.
Where It Started
The idea for Modulayr began with a simple conversation.
A friend with a Nissan Hardbody on air mentioned wishing he could do more with just four switches — but adding more controls or rewiring his setup was a pain.
David’s response was simple:
“Let me think about that.”
Eight months later, he came back with a working solution.
What started as a question became a system — one built to expand control without adding complexity.
